Welcome to Pulpitations

Pulpitations will be 10 years old this year! It all began in the Courtyard at Dalby Forest in 2008 where I had one of a cluster of craft workshops alongside other artists. My background has been in textiles with papermaking following on some years later which opened up a whole new world!

I call myself a "Papermaking Artist" as I make decorative handmade papers using selective techniques which are highlighted with different light sources: natural, candle, battery and electric. My latest work is on a miniature scale creating tiny apertures encapsulating details of nature. I am inspired by trees and plant material always searching underfoot, in hedgerows, forests or on beaches. I have drawers and boxes filled with treasures! I am also passionate about recycling and reusing.

In 2016 I set up my new studio in our garden which is located near Wetherby in West Yorkshire. My business is well established now and my work is very varied from designing and making my unique products to giving demonstrations, running workshops and providing papermaking at events. I love the diversity of my work and the people I get to meet and the new places I discover.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like any further information.

*I am running some taster workshops in June and July at my studio for a special introductory price of £15 per person including refreshments*

Come and learn the wonderful art of making decorative handmade paper in my beautiful garden studio. These sessions will explore the process of making recycled paper pulp and experimenting with different papermaking techniques and decorations. You will take home a selection of beautiful and unique papers with some ideas of what you can do with them.
